My Dear Millie Ann

It's been way too very long since I posted last and am hoping to be better about this blogging thing. But since the last post.... I have a very special new addition.  My Grandaughter, Millie Ann..

My New Baby - Big Peep! ;)

She is looking just a bit rough right now.  But with a little TLC some reconstruction and Murphy's oil soap she will shine bright again.  Stay tuned for work in progress updates.

Cardinal Cabled Closeup
Note: This post has been sitting here since summer soooooo.. I figured I would post it anyway.  Yarn store owner turned out to be a bust. Hope I don't find my stockings there printed from the internet!. That would be a bummer, but needless to say sales were terrific through the winter holiday. Knitpicks is carrying 2 and soon will have 3 of them.  Almost a bit anti climatic as I have no plans right now.  Found out a friend is having a baby so maybe new "rocking" baby things are on the horizon.

Well. Anyway, Enjoy the post!

Cardinal Cabled Stocking
Okay so summer is almost over, but it has been a busy one.  Including and not lastly, my being accepted and published in Knitpicks Indie Designers Program. My cabled Christmas stocking will be available very soon through their website and it the finalization of my New Years Resolution.  Yippee!!  This is the 3rd of 5 that I have done this year.  Should be a nice holiday with all the fancy stockings around!

Good news for the "put yourself out there" column.  I met a super LYS owner in Lancaster, PA and when she returns from her vacation, we will begin negotiations for carrying my stocking patterns in her store.  This is such a boost to my knitting psyche :)   Okay as of vacation,  Did lots of cool things in the Lancaster/Gettysburg area.  The following are a few pictures.  We also went camping which for the princess that I am was a miracle!  Not a whole lot of fiber arts getting done but did manage to find 4 different shops and the THE MOTHERLODE at The Mannings, which by the way I will be traveling to every single time I go to Maryland. I cannot tell you how big that place is and how wonderful the selection.  I think I could die and by buried right there in the store.  How lucky all those folks are who live there.
